The Loyalty of a Dog, in the Horror of Disaster Zone

Have a look at yet another video from the Japanese disaster below.

How can anyone be a ‘cat person’ on viewing something like this? A cat would probably try to eat its owner’s corpse.

Give the dog in your life a cuddle and a treat. He or she may do everything for you.

I am a life long dog person. I have a little beagle named Mischief who has been my best friend for 8 years now. I could hardly watch this video. The suffering of our pets during disasters is just heart-breaking.

    • We have a Welsh Pembroke Corgi at the moment – not really the dog to have in a survival situation, but I’ll never forget the Norwegian Elkhound we had when I was younger. A strong, hardy dog but friendly and wonderful with kids.

Its amazing to think how much human progress could have been hindered without the humble dog, thinking especially of hunting and farming, but equally of things like helping the disabled and elderly today.
